I looked at tickets on StubHub and the only ones that listed restrictions were the seats on the glass.
Which could be the case, but they still won’t let you in or have you take off visiting jerseys. . . it’s just the dress code

20 years ago: I took an ex to R3G1 vs Buffalo, Caps lost and it's the last time I took metro, the bitch got the house and metro still sucks

I like metro in Paris, Shanghai, in Moscow also pretty good one. In the US pubic transportation is mostly sado-maso.

Heard on the radio today that a source says Backstrom's hand is broken. If so that's not good at all. We can't beat Tampa in a series without him at full strength. We can win a game or two,  but a series? That's a tall order.

Will definitely be more difficult without Backstrom, but if we can win one game, then we can win 4.  The whole team needs to be firing on all cylinders like they have been.  Full 60 minute games, stay out of the penalty box, keep pressure on their offense.  We can do it.

If Backstrom is out, there will be a lot riding Kuzy.

He played the game of his life in game 6, but he’ll need to do that every game.  Given career of ups and downs it is quite worrisome.   The fact is he won’t toe-drag around Herman and their D, nor will no look passes not turn into odd-man rushes.

According to this WaPo article from the last series it only applies to two areas, which are exclusively STH seats.  (It doesn't affect me at all because I don't have the $2k that it would cost for airfare and nosebleed seats for my son and I to go on Friday or the following Saturday anyway.   The DC games are out because they are school night games and I won't take him out for 2 days to go to a game.)

"The policy only applies to two areas: the Lightning’s Lexus Lounge, which includes seats against the glass, and the Chase Club luxury suites, according to Bill Wickett, the team’s executive vice president of communications. Those seats are all held by Lightning season ticket-holders, and because they aren’t available for public sale, they’re only available on the secondary market. The seats in question account for 9 to 10 percent of the Amalie Arena seating, Wickett said."

yea, but even by American standards the D.C. area metro sucks ass. The coverage area of the subway is pitiful for a city where over %80 of the workforce commutes from the suburbs to downtown, and management of the metro sucks ass too

Sad to see that some things never change.  Metro was unreliable when I lived there in the early 2000s.  How they are perpetually underfunded (so they claim) when the city kills every road project and gives it to Metro is beyond me.

The biggest problem with the DC metro is it's design failure.  DC metro is the only subway system in America that doesn't have at least 3 tracks.  No mass transit system should be designed where single tracking is acceptable.  3 tracks allow maintenance without interruption.  So blame the f'tards that wanted to save a little money initially by not thinking this clearly.

I’ve said this before, but the more I look at, the more I’m concerned about the match up between our forwards and their D.

Just look at this (this the only site I know of that has good scouting reports)

Victor Hedman:  one of, maybe the best Dman in the league
Two that we’re familiar with, familiar with us and have knocked us out a few times
Dan Girardi (who was in our summer camp )
Ryan McDonagah
Then
Braydon Corburn
Then you have
Sergachev
Strallman  their only 5th forward/Offensive D

5 Defensive Dman that still can chip in and skate, and one 18 point puck mover

We sure as hell cant count on just scoring a lot.

They have a solid dcore. And Hedman is a beast. I think we will need to play like we played in game 6 against the Pens.

Caps will need to play nearly perfect games 4 times to win this series. I don't see them "stealing" a game they shouldn't win against the Bolts.

I'm not worried, they made farther than anyone could have dreamed. That attitude got me this far without blood pressure medicine

Hell petfect periods and perfect shifts.

But I completely agree, we can (and should always), throw all reliance or hope,  of stealing games, luck, just skill, or any other divine intervention out the window

I hope he has an extremely short leash,

Agreed. The way they played without him doesnt have me clamoring for his return.

I wonder, if Backstrom can't go, if the idea is to put Burakovsky on line 2 and move Stephenson to 2C (or keep Eller at 2C and make Stephenson 3C).  Stephenson has been such a revelation lately, and is defensively responsible enough, that he might be able to handle it, even making the switch now in the playoffs.  In a way, I like Stephenson more than Eller there, because Stephenson strikes me as more of a distributor, and both Burakovsky and Oshie qualify as snipers who need to get the puck in advantageous positions.  Over his career one of Eller's weaknesses is that he doesn't distribute the puck all that well.

I'm sure if Burakovsky shows rust or doesn't look as if he can handle the assignment, that he WILL be on a short leash and will be interchanged with Vrana.

Tampa's defense is big and heavy except for Strahlmain.  They are strong, but not all that quick.  The key on offense should be puck movement and quick passes to try to circumvent the D.  I think that may be why Burakovsky may be moved back into the lineup at this point -- he's got speed and elusiveness; he's sort of a poor man's Kuznetsov in that regard.  I wonder, though, if it might not be a bad idea, if Burakovsky is at 2LW, to switch Wilson and Oshie to give him and Stephenson more protection.
