Thought it was a solid period. Yeah the late breakaway was tough but that wasn't on the defense it was on the forward who changed. We had pressure in the zone on the cycle and Orpik did what he was supposed to do cycling it to open space. Nobody was there to pressure, leading to an easy breakout. Had that not of happened even if CBJ got the puck there the pressure on the person to help the cycle would of led to a battle, and not a breakaway against.
I thought we pressured smartly and were crowding the goalie. I also think our biggest weakness is going for snipes. Sometimes you score a goal short side or in the corner and think "time to snipe the puck in" when you should just be shooting to the goalies feet/for tips and rebounds. We had a few chances late there that could of been mad scrambles had we just got it on the net.
