Kinda forgot that Sourdif is a rookie. Man, he is coming on strong and can skate! We really needed somebody from the bottom 6 to emerge.

I think Sourdif is good for McMike and he has had a couple good games - maybe gets back to his form of last year.

Now if we could get Lappy going. He actually seems to be skating well, but just seems to be good at skating around and doing nothing.

Sourdif still has fewer NHL games than Leonard. Only by a couple because of Leonard’s injury.

Consistency will be the key word. All of em' look good/great from time to time. Being able to sustain it, even a little, will be key. Hope Sourdif is a real deal. We'll see. He certainly looks pretty good so far. If he could master faceoffs, he'd be a real asset.

Sucks we let them back in, but great to see Sourdiff, Leonard, McMike all play well and get points for it.  Glimmer of hope we do have some young guys that will score goals.  I'f McMike can get 4 apples a game, I won't give him a hard time about not scoring goals. 5 point night with a hatty for Sourdiff is just crazy.  Good on him.  I really was not expecting him to be a goal scorer.
Missing your top two goals scorers (and probably the best/most responsible forwards we have on the team) does hurt.  Good thing the Ducks are the leakiest team in the league.
Nice to see Ovi get a couple.  His game winner was a rocket

I expect to see Protus next game...sounded like he was a whisker away from playing yesterday.

This team is capable of having a really great game when they are all skating and getting to the puck.  The problem I am worried about is the D.  Not so much the individual players (except Carlson), I just think there are way too many times that they are out of position and either give up a 2 on 1, or the leave guys uncovered in the slot. Not sure if that is the players or the coaching.

Yes we can be very suspect on D.  TVR is just too slow - his age is showing.  Sandin is fine for moving the puck up the ice, and in the o-zone, but he is often a liability in the D zone, and his size is definitely an issue - he just gets tossed around.  He couldn't clear the crease if he had to.  He is very skilled, but you can only be so effective with your stick play as a Dman when you actually need to just out muscle a guy for position.
Fever was our best hitter and solid D, but he has taken a step back this year - don't know if it's D pairing or not quite the same after injury or what but he has not been as solid.  He still has the wheels though, so I don't think the injury in lagging him any.
Roy has actually impressed me this year - he is super steady back there.  Chychrun skates so well he saves himself when he gets caught or in trouble, and I expect he is very strong as well.  Carlson...oof - I just hope we don't re-sign him, but I bet we do.  He still has some offensive skill, but he has really lost a step.

Reality check tonight with Dallas
