Sandin is in tonight as Caps try to end a four game losing streak. The power play was O fer 13 the last four games and 6 fer 40 on the season.

Ovechkin has zero PPG this season (and only 2 goals total).  Ovie should have 6 goals by now and he's prolly short 2 PPG on average at this point in season, so add those 2 in and your PP is 8/40 = 20% which would be NHL average.
Our PP has looked better with some more chances lately, but nobody is putting the biscuit in the basket.
Definitely need to win this one tonight; the next 5 games are against good & excellent teams.

Last in the Metro, tied for last in the East. Lucky it's early and still only 2 pts out of wildcard.. But they let this streak linger and they'll have a hole they can't dig out of.  Feels like 5-6 points out is all it'll take to bury us.

That’s my understanding, but all four are dressed for the game. I haven’t seen good shots of their jerseys yet to see who is wearing the letters.

Good first period. Ovi is just struggling with timing, but still had a couple chances. Blues look aweful.  I think Ovi scores, Leonard scores and another from Willy.


So if the Caps are leading by 1 and the Blues pull their goalie, does Carbs send out Ovi - or would they not want him to get 900 on an empty netter?
