i dont believe i've seen them move the start time back for TV coverage before...not as late as the actual puck drop time.  What did the teams do in Dallas - just stand around?
Not that it mattered - Caps like doo-doo vs Dallas at home.  Thompson looks good.  Willy always has an impact.  3 Total BS penalties....eventually haunts you.
I figured about the third clean post/crossbar we hit, we were done.

I actually thought they played pretty well after mid-way through the first. Definitely outplayed Dallas in the 2nd and 3rd and thought it was a good effort.  PP is killing us though.  I thought Chicky had a great game and he should take over the point from Carlson.

They certainly played better than Dallas the last half of the game. PP ruins any momentum they get. Carlson and Ovi both should have minimal PP time. They'd make a good 2nd unit TBH. Though, it probably doesn't matter. We can't even get in the zone and setup with our subpar puck handlers. Strome was the best we had and he's not really that great at it either. I imagine every team who pays attention saw what happens when you pressure our PP.. We choke up the puck like it's a hot potato. The Lightning exposed us years ago and it's surprising (to me) more teams don't go full pressure on us every time they're down a man.

Did Ethan Frank get an injury?  I recall the weird hit where he landed badly, and he went off the ice to locker room, but I just watched Carbs (very short) interview after game and when questioned about status...he answered "No, i have not spoken to the surgeon yet"

Frank had a weird injury. He kinda reacted like it was a concussion, but I never saw his head make contact with anything.

Surgery? Yea, didn't "appear" to be anything broke, but who knows. He went down like a sack of potatoes when he tried to check somebody. Head never hit the ice, he just kinda crumpled/sat down. Then went off with assistance looking wobbly the whole way down the tunnel. Hope he's ok though! We're gonna run outta bodies before the 1st month of the season is over.
