I'm really just hoping for two things this year. First, that we see the emergence of some of our prospects including a couple that just shock us and unseat some veterans. I wasn't that impressed with Leonard at the end of last year, but it probably wasn't fair to him to throw him in like that. However, the thing that I was most disappointed in him, was his size. I thought he was a lot bigger and stronger. Maybe he will still grow a little, but he is definitely not big.
The other thing I am hoping for is that they just let the Carlson contract expire and give him a nice sendoff if he wants to keep playing. I'm mostly afraid that at the end of the year, that they will give him a one year deal, granted at much lower money, so he can "mentor" some guys. Not a good idea.

I watched some of the interviews from 1st or 2nd day of camp...someone asked Carlson if there were any talks with team about after this year he said NO. Then someone asked again later if gave any thought to future and he said "I'm definitely not done" so that gives a glimpse of what he is thinking.

I missed the game, watched the 5 min highlights. TVR the only Cap with a negative +/- (-1). That's hard to do in a 5-2 win but i did see him on and looking lost for both the Boston goals
