Dang, couldn't get Willy his hattie.. Oh well, they emptied the tank in the 3rd, scored 3x and took another road DUB!! Glad they didn't waste that 3rd period effort from Thompson!! 4 stopped breakaways!!

The Caps played last night, and traveled.  The Canadians are in the middle of a homestead, and didn't play last night.


The Habs went up 2-0 before the Caps got their legs.


And then the game turned in the 3rd, just as Mick asked for.  And it wasn't a fluke.  The Caps took over play, except for the last minute PK where the Habs got a few shots.  But before that they had NO ANSWER.   


This is a type of statement game, admittedly not against the best opponent, but definitely a trap game as Mick mentioned.  It gives a glimpse of how good and how resilient this team can be/is becoming.  Good on Wilson for leading the way with a swollen face, and I bet a headache as well.

Gutsy game by Willy.  Thompson might end up being the best of a bunch of real nice acquisitions.
