Good idea on moving Roy to get Chychrun done. I like Roy, and he has been steady, but is replaceable. I'd still like to see them get Alexyev into the lineup.  The problem now with Chychrun now is that he is almost certainly going to test free agency.  He has paid his dues getting passed around and now he is going to hit the jackpot if he keeps playing like this. I could see him getting a 7 years at $9.5.  We won't be able to do that with Ovi still on the books next year and Carlson.  Boy, I love Chychrun though!

I love Chychrun, too.  I was just complaining during OT of the Isles game that they always have slow as molasses Carlson out there when they have a great skater like Chychrun.  In the next 10 seconds, Chychrun races up the ice and scores the winner.  I'd love to see them keep both Chychrun and Roy.  Roy has been a solid plus player his whole career and you can't overstate how important that is on the back end.  If they move anybody I might make it either TVR or Sandin.  Sandin and Chychrun are both good skating, offensive type guys but I like Chychrun better.  As far as physicality, they should get McIlrath out there for a few games.

Yes - I think TVR would be the first one out. They love Sandin and they think they are looking pretty smart for doing that deal (which they were) so he is going nowhere.

The interesting thing will be the PP when Ovi comes back and if they leave Carlson out there in his traditional spot. I think it is very clear that Chycrun would be way better in that role.
