I agree with you DC about Rammsteins guitar riffs. They are so heavy. First song I heard by Rammstein was Laichzeit and I instantly fell in love with their guitar sound.
Very heavy sound like Tony Iommi but you can't compare their guitar work to Iommi's
Tony Iommi is a guitar god. His sound is amazing live.

Agree completely, saw them at their first reunion in 97 . . . it was incredible!
To clarify, i wasn’t comparing them directly, but saying they are influenced by, and from his style. His style being song structure based on heavy melodic enough riffs with, 3 note chords of scales. He was one of the first to do that, and he perfected it.

Sounds like you go to a lot of rock shows too. I go to too many although I have cut back the last couple years.

Yeah. we live in walking distance from the major concert venues in Baltimore, and get to DC/Northen Va/Silver Spring MD easily. . Well, back easily, traffic makes the trip in about 3-4 times longer best. . .
A couple years ago, us a few friends would go to shows of bands that some of us never heard of as a another stop on the bar hopping of that night. . . but, that got kinda old and the friends we did that all moved anyway.
We’ve cut back ourselves to, in part due to the lack of tours of coming to the area. Which is why this fall was so nuts. A good portion of the bands I listed havent toured in North America, if at all in ten or more years, then they all come to this area in with a month of each other :P
