Nobody's gonna convince me we can't be just as good or bad w/o Carlson, Oshie and Pacioretty on the ice. They bring nadda.  :-( We have slow ass old folks on just about every line, still.. Think we had 18 shots till the last 5 minutes or so when the Oil stopped giving a shit. (And they were still getting grade a chances on us) Can't beat anybody who's worth a shit if nobody can get a shot or score. 2 goals in 2 games. One of those was a lucky ass spin o rama..  :O=


Playoff chase last 20 games: Need 11-8-1 to have a chance. Currently 0-2-0  :wackysmile:

Told ya.  No, not really, but...I did.

I think this is what happens when your aged mediocre team comes up a very good team that is faster, bigger, better in every way.  Oilers are just very impressive offensively.  The Caps are just no match for them.  They can keep up in tiny little spurts, but that's about it.  If the Oilers could figure out their goaltending, they'd be a real real contender.
And Kuemper?  We start K against the Oilers :huh:

I see Connor Brown scored a goal for the Oilers...Holy Crap his 1st of the year.  He's the kind of guy Caps would have extended with a ridiculous contract if he hadn't been injured then UFA.  Whew...we actually missed that giant sinkhole.

Oh and not to be like Mick....The Caps going to go on a 10 game win streak right after this 7 game losing streak is over  ;)

Well on Conner Brown, I think we gave away a 2nd round pick for him didn't we?  Of course he got hurt with us and we got nothing out of him, but I guess you can't moan about the trade based on an injury - but seeing how he has done this year, yes you can moan about it!


What about McDavid?  Watching that guy is incredible. This guy has the most talent of any player in history - not Gretzky, not Crosby and I have to say it - but not Ovi.  He has unbelievable speed and skills and if he were in a major market, he would get so much more publicity.

It's nuts watching McDavid, MacKinnon, etc. handle the puck. They're so fast and the puck is glued to their stick. Even bad teams have better centers/puck handlers than us, but those guys are fun to watch.
