From what I've noticed, Ovi doesn't seem to be considered a threat any more, especially from his "office".  He's too slow now.  Whereas before, he used to have two defenders on him as soon as he got the puck, now he's treated as just another guy.
Not so very long ago, if Ovi took a shot, it was in the back of the net before you could even blink.  Now you can actually track the puck when he shoots it.

I think that is because of the other four guys on the ice with him. The rest of the league learned years ago that Carlson can’t handle a hard forecheck.

Sadly, I don't think that's the reason.  It took Dylan a couple of years to learn to feed Ovi after Greeny left, but he did learn and they were pretty successful.

Ovi's lost the strength and speed in his wrists and his willingness to shoot the puck.  His heart doesnt seem to be in it any more. 

He's lost that spark, that fight that made him GREAT.
