If they'd just get rid of Oshie and Mantha and bring two more young guys up, this team might stay interesting. I would also keep McIlrath on the roster. You need a nasty type back there. We have too few.

Oh and WTF NHL? That was goal tender interference. I personally don’t think it really affected the play but that Modo spun the goalie around and then held him down in the crease. He absolutely interfered with him. HTF do you review that and not see it.
I really wish a coach would come out in public and speak the truth and demand some answers from the league. This is total BS
The holding on TVR was a joke too. I expect refs are going to miss calls but damn these were/could have been game changers

Oshie has fewer points than all of our d-men. 1 assist in 15 games isn't something you can tolerate much longer. He's got to start being a healthy scratch.

Yes, Oshie looks horrible the first... month of the season. He looks a bit better last couple games; not lost or behind, but he's definitely not producing.
But when you have young guys scratched who are actually having an impact and scoring, it is detrimental to winning to have a guy (Oshie) who just isn't producing in the lineup.
Ovie really looked like he was nursing something or finally lost a couple more steps, but in the last week he has certainly looked more like Ovi; hitting people and actually having an impact. He's always had some coast in his game, and I think will have more this year conserving his energy, but actually saw him hustling to back check last couple games.
I'd be surprised if they sat a guy like Oshie...(or Ovie). I mean I'd planned to give them some rest days and such...the whole Geritol team will need it this season, but Oshie is beyond just needing rest..
And....Oshie having less points than our Dmen is saying something...I heard them say they last game Caps have 1 goal from all of the blue line. That's horrendous in itself.
