Team just doesn't have any gas. Any fight back. Been an issue for a few years now. We get behind multiple goals and the wheels usually just fall completely off. Game 1, I get it, but these old eyes can still see.

I've been saying that for a long time. These washed up, slow vets will do nothing to help Ovie. From what I saw last night, this team might struggle to win 35 games. Age mixed with lack of talent is no way to build a roster. We've degraded slowly since the SC win and this is looking like rock bottom. It's bad.

Yep. 25 goals is gonna be a stretch, imo. And that's counting on about 15 from the PP.. We have ALL the old/slow guys on 1 line. They create zero space. It's gonna be a long 2-4 years till this goal record is achieved (or abandoned) unfortunately. I'd put Ovie with Wilson and Kuznetsov or Strome. 2 other guys who are either fast or can create space. Nick and Oshie is gonna be a grueling struggle.

Well, they are never as bad as they look when they have a bad game, and never as good as they look when they have a good game. That being said, that was bad! We played against another old, slow team and looked old and slow. I hate to say it, but I think Oshie is done. I love the guy, but he looked awefull and he just can't skate or stay on his feet with any pressure. I was counting on Backstrom being a big drag on the salary structure, but Oshie isn't great either at $5.75 for this year and next.
The bright side is that we lose the Mantha contract after this year, the Backstrom and Oshie the year after. But then we have Carlson and Ovi for a year after that......
