Wut? You must of only tuned into the last 3-4 minutes, when the Oil were dead tired? They peppered Fl the whole 3rd period. All Fl could do was lose draws and ice the puck. McJesus and Draisaitl played half the period (they said) and were out of gas at the very end. Panthers choked em' out, the last couple minutes, against the boards.

Congrats to the Panthers. They played a better game 7....well they played pretty much their game.
Defense wins the Cup (as usual)
Both teams had their chances, but I didn't think it was all that exciting either for a game 7. I don't mind FLA won a cup, I just wanted to see Canada win one in my adult lifetime.
Florida stifled the best player on the planet for pretty much the entirety of game 7 and quieted Draisaitl for the whole series.
I recorded the game, caught up to live with about 7 minutes left. With 6 minutes left, my power blinked for a millisecond (literally could hardly tell it went out except the lights blinked) and my DirecTV cut off. Took 10 minutes to reset and it was over. I was recording it, but the recording stopped as well. Fucking DirecTV. Hate them, always hated them, always will. We had no wind or storms or anything. Talked to a buddy at work...exact same thing happened to him.

Great win for Hershey. How in the hell Todd nelson isn't coaching somewhere in the NHL is a mystery. I'm glad Hershey had him, but man he is due a shot in the NHL.
Aside from Lappierre, who else do you think is a lock to go from Hershey to the Caps next year?
I assume Shepherd will back up Lindgren and Stevenson takes over Hershey.
I like Hardy Haman Ahktell's size and thought he played pretty well. i know he came up for a cup of coffee this year but don't remember how he did for the Caps.
Miroschnichenko will presumably get a shot at staying in DC but I like the playing time and development he gets at Hershey.

You disgust me. Im disowning you!! :raspberry: :snicker: I guess if you didn't give a shit who won, it wasn't that exciting. I've aquired a vested interest in Fl the last few weeks tho, so.. It WAS exciting!! :raised-eyebrow: Heart stopping even.

Something bothers me.
The Caps' advertising is making a big deal about the team being 50 years old. Which means that they are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the team's origin. But actually, they've already played 50 seasons. The season coming up will be their 51st. Does anybody remember, did the team mention at all that last season was their 50th in the NHL? I'd think for a sports franchise, the number of seasons played is more important and compelling than an anniversary day.
But maybe that's just me.
