Ho hum.

Next time peeps.    :hearts:

What?  What's the problem here?  If we aren't going to the playoffs, we need to lose some games to get the best possible draft position.  LA is a couple of steps up from the other two West Coast teams we played, so it isn't surprising that they carried the play and won the game.  We are in the process of largely restructuring our defense.

Wow - Sandin with 25 minutes of ice time tonight, along with TVR.  And Alexeyev with over 20 minutes again.  Let's get Fehervary and Jensen back in the lineup, keep Sandin and Alexeyev in there, and see what we have with a little more stability and experience backing up the youngsters.

This is a fine "next day" attitude.. Losses mean little, but there's no sense watching "live" if we don't hope to win. Or at least hope to -not- look like garbage. These are our healthy forward lines. And they can't even create shots on goal, much less high danger chances or goals. Took a lucky 3rd swipe for 1 and a 5 on 3 (Ovi perfect snipe) for the other. It's sad, really. Every scoring line either has at least one old/slow, or soft/lazy guy on it. Defense was in position most of the night, just getting beat to pucks or muscled off pucks. Even with all the youth, we still appear very slow.

This team has had issues against a hard fore check for a few years now, combined with the lackluster passing game and the results are predictable.

Mickstix:
Yea, unfortunately we're (probably) going to be disappointed in Strome and that contract. Dude is soft going after pucks. Dowd is really the only center we have that'll battle for a puck. Nicky used to, but he's too old/slow to do much. Kuzy is soft. Hates contact. But back to Strome. He's not even Eller caliber, as far as a 3C goes. Has better "skills" but not really a 2C, imo. Least not on a "good" team anyway, and not strong enough to be a good 3/4C. Guess we'll find out. Hope Im wrong.
