Sweet dreams.    :hearts:

I donno about sweet, but at least it’s a better mood

Perhaps the most important thing out of this game was the play of Alexeyev.  I don't know why he's been up, and just sitting around on the bench.  That isn't the way to develop someone.  But maybe tonight was a coming-out game for him.  He played huge minutes, because SOMEBODY had to.  And no one ever mentioned his name in this thread, apparently because he just went about his job.  If you are a defensive defenseman, the less your name is mentioned, the better, sometimes.

I don't know how serious the injuries to Jensen and Fehervary are.  But I have to believe Alexeyev is going to be forced to play a big role the rest of the season.  Let's bring it on and see what we have here.

I can't believe we actually sign one fucking guy....the guy who has been the most healthy and played more games without injury or incident in the entire time he as been here, and the day after he inks a new deal goes out with an injury.

Jensen at $4.0m is a little steep, but I really was not concerned about his age or durability because the guy HAS been a machine in his 4 + years here.  I did not hate the contract with only 3 years, and he has been pretty solid for us.  I think he has improved over time and this year with lots and lots of extra minutes he's had a good response.

Hopefully this is just a minor ding and same goes for Fever.  I love that Fever showed well last year and is now a staple.  I agree Alexeyev should get a shot at more playing time.  Looks like that is going to happen now no matter what.

I started watching about 11pm, watched the first, slept thru most of the second.  Rewound and FFWD thru it, watched the third and the OT.

Willy sure as hell is looking better.  Nice to see that dude score as we are surely gonna need it.  Little surprised he's dropped the gloves twice now already since back, no?  Dude is got some pretty quick hands.  Think that skill is gonna be needed less and less as this league "evolves", but sure is nice he can still throw em.  Hated seeing him head to the locker room, but glad to see it was just cut knuckles and not something broke.

Not to be concerned with it at this point but I wonder if he goes home to Toronto when he becomes a FA.  He might not want to stick around and bail water on this paddle boat when he could be cabin cruisin with Cup opportunity in Toronto

Anyway... Tom is my hero
