Well to be honest....we played loosey goosey both the last two games. I think the lack of Orlov is showing.
After Saturday's game, I figured we get beat on Sunday. We do really suck on the second of back to back and I do think our elderly age has something to do with it. It's a very demanding game and we just run out of steam late in game 2.
And I was shocked they started Kuemper back to back. I know they were trying to reward those that played well, but...
The best part of both games was we got goals form Strome and Milano, and OVIE and Kuzy. Oshie too, but we NEED Strome and Milan scoring regularly. Kuzy needs to go on a tear so someone wants him....or he needs to be more consisting with scoring and not just dumb stick penalties.
Wilson has looked better too. Didn't have goals in three straight games? His skating just looks better than it did.
Caps have 20 games remaining. I think we miss the playoffs this year. Just can't manage to string 2 wins together and they need to win 2/3 of the remaining games at least. Probably will take more like 14 or 15 wins out the the final 20 to secure a spot.
