OT is a speed game, something Carlson is not familiar with

What's pretentious about a check to the face?  :snicker:

I was referring to pretentious double-barrell names. A pet peeve of mine.    :raspberry:

Re-watched some of this game and I think an outcome of 1 point from this game might have been generous.  We were outplayed a lot.  Seattle missed some open nets a few times.  We had chance too, but we were lucky to escape with a point I think.

I don't know if Carlson is just focusing too much on scoring, but his D is even more atrocious than it has been in the past.
Not that all the stats mean a whole lot, but Johhny Q. Dylan Norris Carlson was the only player on the ice for either team that was a -2.  I watched about 10 uneven man rushes for Seattle and guess WHO was out of position or well behind the play...or flat out led to the rush the other way.
Not to focus on him or put all the blame on him, but he's not helping this team win.

It was a bad/odd bounce in OT, but Carlson was pretty much just out-muscled and pushed over by none other than Bearkowski.  I don't recall Bura being all that physical.  He's have a great year though.

Carlson’s biggest problem is he can’t handle a good forecheck, or a bad one. Damn near every single time he gets one on one pressure, he loses the puck, especially when attempting to play offense. $8,000,000 a year for this.

I've said before, the only time Carlson is any good on D is when he's pissed off. And that usually lasts about 1-2 shifts, when it happens at all. They should cut his pay in half and make him a forward.

We also have probably the most expensive yet totally invisible 3rd line in the NHL.

First sign of Willy coming back they really should try and find a team who thinks Mantha could help them for a playoff run. Get an early jump on clearing some cap space.
