Thought it was bash Kuzy time? Im all aboard, btw!! Dude makes 8 million bucks and the only thing he does well on a consistent basis is "glide" good, when someone is chasing him. We have like 8 guys who make "star or super star" type salaries and only 1 of them can score on any kind of consistent basis. And that's drying up faster then spray paint since every team we play sticks to him like glue, knowing nobody else can/will put the puck in the net.  :O=

Me thinks Lil tripping just little bit on the Kemper rant.

He wasn't that bad last night. The team was.
Stopped a break away in 1st, multiple great stops in first.  Actually stopped 21/22 shots in the 1st period. (954 save %)
I'll admit the ONE he let in in 1st period was not great, but he was pretty damn excellent the rest of the time.
Second goal (2nd period) the dude batted it out of the air 5' from the net - that's not Kemper's fault, nor should that dude have been planted 5' in front with nobody bothering him.  Also that was PP goal that should have NEVER been a PP.  Fucking Refs owe them that one.  Sheary was about 1/10th of a second late getting to the guy, but that's gonna happen on the PP (well....on some teams' PP)

Third goal sucked, but not Kemps fault Cousins was given free range in the slot with not even a stick on him - missed D assignment

Go back and watch the 9 minute condensed version of the game and 70% of it is basically a highlight reel of Kemper's stops

Every single goal - the Caps D failed to do their job and that led directly to a goal.  Three of the four goals - the Caps D missed their assignments.

I'm not in love with Kemps and you can't allow 4 goals in a game and expect to win, but I'm not blaming him for playing by himself last night and facing over 40 shots in a game.  He had multiple great stops last night - including break-aways, but he certainly won't stop them all.

I wonder how long it'll take management to realize that rebuild time is upon them.  While rebuilding might slow down Ovie's goal quest, so will a ragged, aging team that can't score or keep up for three periods.  There's a lot to fix and they should have started long before now.

Mickstix:
I imagine they've realized it, but they already missed the boat.. This current lineup stinks and even when Oshie and Wilson get back I doubt it's gonna make a difference. PP might improve but that's about it. And that's assuming Oshie can actually stay healthy. Gloomy days ahead. They really need to cut some ties or force some retirements or something and try and make some trades. I fear they've fucked Ovie, w/o a plan B.
