Garage56 (Nascar) Chevrolet Camaro at Le Mans wins the GTE pit stop challenge, using a manual floor jack. Is 5 seconds a lap faster than any GTE car in practice and now holds the lead of all GTE cars 90 minutes into the 24 hour race. (Looks like they dialed it back, probably for reliability, as they're only turning laps AS fast as the other cars now.) Funnier is the FIA doesn't seem to give a shit an American NASCAR entry is in the race, as I've been watching and only seen it once, during the safety car session/caution after the lap 1 crash. Fucking jealous foreigners. :raised-eyebrow: :snicker:
.... and it's in the garage. Only made it around 4 hours. :-(

From what I’ve read, the nascar entry is not in any class thus can’t win in any class. It’s considered an “experimental” entry. About 4:30 pm eastern they completed lap 71, which was a bit over 600 miles.
Fucking jealous foreigners. :raised-eyebrow: :snicker:
Most of them still haven’t gotten over Ford winning four in a row in the late 1960s.
:uh-huh:

underneath the livestream that I’m not signing up for is the live leaderboard.. position, laps run, last lap time, best lap time.

You can watch the incar from youtube if desired. They're not in a "class" but they're based around similar specs as the GTE cars. (basically a bragging rights deal)
Apparently the garage stop was just to inspect the car for any debris damage, after being behind a crash. Went to watch nascar and haven't been keeping up, but during the qualifying broadcast they showed a tweet from HMS saying they were running the leading GTE cars back down. I guess Jimmie Johnson was behind the wheel. (I expect him to crash the thing, but we'll see) lol
