Yeah, but I think we're done.  Unless someone has a total collapse - or more like several teams have total collapse, which I don't think happens.


Boston has lost two in a row, which is meaningless other than it might cost them the record for most wins in a season.  They'd need to win 13/16 remaining to break the record now.

Caps have some "lesser" teams to face coming up with Columbus and Chicago, and St Louis, but need ALL those points.
Face a lot of east teams with games left - play Islanders twice and Hens once, so there is some chance left, but Caps are gonna need some help from Islanders and Hens to make up 5 points in 12 games.
Caps last two of the season are Boston and NJ.  Oof. (good warm up for the playoffs....or golf)

Strome has passed Kuzy for second most points on the team.
Both have played 70 games
Strome 17G 35A  52pts  (I like this balance of G/A for a center.  Hoping he can bump those goals closer to 25-30 on a full season
Kuzy 12G 39A  51pts     Kuzy definitely having an off year, but it's pathetic we don't have at least ONE other guy with 20 goals on the year.  Hopefully Strome gets to 20 and with Wilson, Backy, Oshie missing significant portions of the season, I don't knock them, but you'd think SOMEONE would step up a bit.


Oshie has 18G in 53 games.  Oshie is a 25-30ish scorer, but don't see him ever playing a 80 game season again.
Wilson has 8G in only 22 games, so IF he could extrapolate over a full season....I'm happy with him in the 30-35g range.


I don't foresee this team getting better next year.  Same old guys aren't going to get better with more age.

Shittsburgh lost again (4 in a row) and Florida jumped past them into WC2 spot.  Ottawa jumped past us and we now 5th place for WC with Buffalo 1 point behind and 2 games in hand
