Just read that Snively was taking rushes with Carlson due to (somebody, Gustaffson maybe) on D, leaving practice early.. Wilson and Nicky travel with the team, skate in non contact jerseys, to get more "intensity" of practice.. See ya'll tonight!

Sheesh....Caps on a 5-game winning streak and still mired in 6th place in their division.  Shittsburgh has won 6 in a row and the Rags have won 4 in a row.


Caps in 9th place in the conference - 1 point out of WildCard spot.


Next game is vs Dallas who is 1st in their division.  Dallas scores a bunch....tied with Boston for second most goals with 110, behind....Buffalo with 115
Buffalo lead the entire league in goals  :huh: Buffalo in currently 22nd in the league


BTW....Chicago is the 2nd WORST team in the league right now behind only Anaheim, both with only 7 wins on the season so far

Sadly, as well as the Caps have played lately (7-2-1) in last ten games, 8 of the 10 teams ahead of them in standings have played just as well or better


Shitsburgh   7-2-1
Toronto    7-2-1
Boston   7-1-2
Tampa Bay 8-2
Rags     8-1-1
Canes   9-0-1

Only NJ (4-4-2) and NYI (3-5-2) have had worse record or fewer points in the last ten.  (And NJ was so far ahead, they still in 1st Place....basically tied with Canes now)


So Caps gained ground on NYI and that's it.


Beats losing points, but kinda sucks they didn't gain any real ground.
