The all inclusive boredom thread for everyone… even Rich

At the very least we're gonna see just how needed John Carlson and his 8m salary are. Praying Gustafsson and Orlov can feed Ovi some nice 1x and pot a few goals themselves during his absence! :praying:

We've played the two best defensive games of the season while Mr. Norris was out. (excluding the 3rd period last night) And against probably the two best teams we've faced. Certainly did not miss him on the PP either.
Putting JC and TJ on don't mean a whole lot at this point. Basically means they will miss a week (minimum), which they've already missed 4 days, so this means they can't play until Sunday....so they will miss Detroit and Arizona.
They've already said TJ is out indefinitely so I expect they will eventually move him to LTIR which is a minimum of 24 days and 10 games missed. They can make this move retroactive (starting the LTIR from 1st day missed)
Sucks total ass for the Mealstrom - he's played very well. Must of broke something in his hand blocking that shot....or ruptured a testes - couldn't really see where it hit him
The bright spot in all these injuries is young guys getting some work and I think both of our goalies have played very well.
Brown going down for the year is the worst news this season (we already KNEW Willy was out till.....Decemberish)
The good news is we can pull a TB Lightning move and sign all these extra stars with our LTIR relief then get all our guys back for the playoffs (unlimited cap) and win another cup.

Sonny Milano, the recent acquisition from Anaheim, wore #12 in Anaheim and in Hershey. It appears the Caps would not issue him #12 for his call up in D.C. He will wear #15. Will we finally see a #12 raised to rafters?

Either way it's stupid but you're right, it'll attract a bunch of kid video gamers looking to see if it works just like their xbox.
If Nascar is on the ball, all they need to do is throw the caution as soon as someone is in the wall. Can't advance, go back to the last scoring loop. Something like that. I just can't believe guys like Larry Mac and DW are just in awe over it and don't think they should change a thing. As if THAT is the spirit of auto racing nascar envisioned.. I guess the "if you aint cheatin you aint tryin" mentality runs deep.. I thought it was brilliant. Hated it for Hamlin, but it was a ballsy move, neat to see, etc. But nah, I don't want to be tuning in to finishes like that.. It jumps the shark.

Personally I can't stand Denny Hamlin. And based on the crowd response when he was interviewed in Martinsville, his and my home state of Virginia, they don't care much for him either.
At the time Chastain went full bat-shit crazy, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. He, and his fellow drivers, were lucky as hell he stayed on the wall and didn't seriously wreck anyone else or God forbid he end up over the wall and into the grandstands. While I admit it was fascinating to watch, that shit can't happen again because someone will get hurt.
Props to him for thinking of it, having the balls to try it, and making it work. Kicking Hamlin out was a bonus for me.
