1: The Caps have zero assets to trade 2: the entire D corps needs to be replaced to make a playoff run 3: the team doesn't have the mentality to make a playoff run

As someone said earlier on another thread, it’s either:
A).  We like where we are right now,
B).  We didn’t see any deals that were right for us, or, if they’re feeling really purposefully naive,
C).  Both
